****UPDATE****
I forgot about a couple other places that are cheap and in West glacier. They really don’t go into much detail, so they may be a little shady.
Apgar Village Lodge and West Glacier Motel are the two other places. Apgar would be $31.50 per person per night and West Glacier would be $28.50 per person per night. I don’t know if they have any rooms available, but will work on that tonight. Also, they are about 15 minutes from the trail head.

After doing some more research, I think I may have found our best bet. The Izaak Walton Inn located in Essex, MT is on the southern edge of the park and about 15 minutes from the trail head. It is also 30 minutes from East and West Glacier where we would be picking up our permit (we’ll probably pick up the permit the day before).
As of April 30th, they still had rooms available. Room rates:
Family Suite sleeps up to 6: $255 a night
Room for 2: $137 a night
$137 + $255 = $392 / 8 people = $49 per night or $98 for 2 nights
The location of this place is ideal and still fairly reasonable. What do you guys think?
I want to get the lodging figured out by the end of the week

For the family suite can we pay a little extra to have all 8 in the room I will sleep on the floor I don’t care. Lowering the cost would be very helpful for me.

Apgar Village and West Glacier would be my first choice based on cost. Though I wouldn’t mind staying at the other place because I saw it on the Travel Channel.

History fact of the day,
Apparently the movie “Beethoven II” was shot at Apgar Village.
